INEA – The European Commission confirmed that 2TDK meets the conditions for the release of EUR 109 million in grants from the CEF 2017-blending call.

Maj 2019

The EIB Board of Directors approved the loan for the construction of the second track.

Signed concession contract between the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the company 2TDK.

The Supervisory Board of 2TDK gave a positive opinion on the Public Procurement Strategy

April 2019

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia issued a decree on the concession for the construction and management of the second track.

Marec 2019

The construction of access roads to the route of the second track of the Divača–Koper railway line has begun.

A decision on the introduction of an increase in the user fee was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia. Starts using 1. of January 2020, is – in accordance with the law on the second track – the third source of funding for the project.

Februar 2019

By decree, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia determined the types of cargo and classified them into individual categories for the assessment of transhipment tax in the Koper cargo port. The transhipment tax starts to be calculated from 1. March 2019, is – in accordance with the law on the second track – the second source of funding for the project.

Januar 2019

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia, as the general meeting of the company 2TDK, approved the investment program for the construction of the second track of the Divača-Koper railway line.

Avgust 2018

The Ministry of the Environment and Space issued a decision on the transfer of the building permit for the construction of the second track to the company 2TDK.

Julij 2018

The Act on the Second Track (Act on the Construction, Management and Management of the Second Track of the Divača-Koper Railway Line) came into force.

Signed agreement on the allocation of grants from the Financial Program Instrument for the Integration of Europe for 109 million euros.

The government decides that the service pipes of the three longest tunnels will be built in full profile and that the other three can be upgraded to a double-track line in the next phase.

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted a decision on the establishment of the company 2TDK, Družba za razvoj projekto, d.o.o., whose task will be to carry out all the necessary activities for the realization of the project of the second track of the Divača-Koper railway line and to manage the investment.

The Ministry of the Environment and Space issued a building permit for the construction of the second Divača-Koper line.

Januar 2016

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted several resolutions related to further activities regarding the implementation and financing of the project of the second track Divača-Koper.

Marec 2015

The Ministry of Infrastructure obtained a construction permit for the construction of 1.2 km of the second track of the Divača-Koper railway line (the so-called pull-out track) as the main track of the Koper freight station.

Januar 2015

PGD ​​for the construction of the entire second track of the Divača-Koper railway line handed over to the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning (administrative body that will issue the building permit).

Oktober 2014

The Slovenian Environment Agency issued a supplementary decision to the environmental consent; this covers the entire route of the new line.

Februar 2014

The Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia issued a partial environmental approval.

Oktober 2010

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia has issued a decree on the initiation of the preparation of amendments and additions to the state location plan for the second track of the railway line on the Divača-Koper section. (The third amendment to the draft state spatial plan, the railway connection between Divača and Koper is once again single-track, as was envisaged by the basic Regulation on the state location plan from 2005.)

Februar 2010

The Republic of Italy withdrew from the route Divača-Koper.

April 2009

The Ministry of Transport adopted a decision on the plan for a double-track line on the section Divača-Črni Kal junction and a single-track line on the section Črni Kal-Koper junction.

Julij 2008

Vlada RS sprejela sklep o začetku priprave Sprememb in dopolnitev državnega lokacijskega načrta za drugi tir železniške proge na odseku Divača–Koper. The route also enables the connection of the Divača-Trieste line.

Julij 2007

The Ministry of Transport submitted an initiative to the Ministry of Environment and Space to supplement the existing Regulation on the State Location Plan. The change concerns the double-tracking of the track; change from single track to double track.

April 2005

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted the Regulation on the state location plan for the second track of the railway (single-track) line on the Divača-Koper section.

Junij 2001

A conceptual project for the construction of the second track Divača-Koper has been prepared.

1996

Austria Rail Engineering GmbH and SŽ – Projektivno podjeto, d.d., for the Ministry of Transport and Communications at the time, produced a feasibility study: Increasing the capacity of the single-track line Divača-Koper.
