Trains are already running on the relocated line in Divača
Yesterday evening, a little after 22:00, the first train left Koper for Divača on the relocated (deviated) line. This is a 900-metre long line that was built to accommodate the relocation of the existing line for the construction of the second railway line. The intervention was necessary because the route of the Second Track crosses the existing route. This also led to the current Divača – Koper line being closed to all freight and passenger traffic for four days.
During this time, two new switches were installed, the tracks had to be joined, certain tests and upgrades were carried out, etc.
