During his official visit to Slovenia today, Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu also stopped by the construction site of the second rail track. Together with Slovenian Minister of Infrastructure Alenka Bratušek, they inspected the Gabrovica viaduct and the Beka Tunnel (T2), both of which were built by the Turkish company Yapi Merkezi. During the visit, Minister Alenka Bratušek stated: “Given that we have faced quite a few challenges in recent days, as I have already discussed with the minister, I naturally strongly hope and expect that we will jointly bring this project, which is very important for Slovenia, to completion in about a year.” The Turkish minister expressed satisfaction with what he saw on site, praising in particular the progress of the work, as much has already been accomplished. “We believe that Yapi Merkezi will complete everything that remains within a year,” he concluded.
