2TDK company celebrates its 10th anniversary
On 31 March, 2TDK marks a special milestone—10 years of its operation. A decade ago, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia established the project company with a clear vision for the development of the Second Track. Today, it can be concluded with satisfaction that the project is in its final phase, while the focus is already shifting forward—to the construction of the parallel left track.
The financing model of the infrastructure project through a project company represents an important innovation in the practice of implementing investment projects in Slovenia, although it has already been established abroad. The company was founded with the purpose of carrying out all key activities in the preparation and construction phase of the Second Track, as well as managing it during the term of the concession agreement.
Through its work, expertise, and successful project management, 2TDK has proven itself—this is also confirmed by the fact that, under the Act Amending the Act on the Construction, Management and Governance of the Second Track of the Divača–Koper Railway Line, it has been entrusted with an additional important step: the role of investor for the parallel left track.
The Second Track project is being managed responsibly, transparently, and in close cooperation with domestic and international partners. On this occasion, we extend our gratitude to all employees and partners who, with their knowledge, dedication, and cooperation, are co-creating the story of one of the largest infrastructure projects in Slovenia.
