2TDK’s response to the false claims
The information published in the article on 24ur, stating that, according to unofficial reports, Yapi Merkezi has 50 million outstanding claims, is inaccurate and does not reflect the actual situation.
On March 27, 2025, the program “24 ur” aired a report regarding the construction of the second railway track, in which unofficial information was published claiming that Yapi Merkezi had 50 million in outstanding claims and that a payment of 10 million would be sufficient to unfreeze its accounts.
The information published in the 24ur report is inaccurate and does not reflect the actual situation. 2TDK regularly and promptly settles all its obligations. Therefore, we reasonably expect that contractors, upon receiving payment, will also regularly pay their subcontractors!
Yapi Merkezi has a total of €2,233,182.42 in open claims across both sections. All claims are handled in such a way that contractors address them to an independent external supervising engineer (DRI). The DRI determines whether there is evidence that the contractor is entitled to any costs or not, or whether the claim is justified or unjustified. The super-supervisor also gives their opinion on the claim.
Erar records show that 2TDK transferred the last payment to Yapi Merkezi in October of last year. Payments after October 2024 were made to the bank in accordance with contractual obligations, as Yapi Merkezi had assigned the receivable to the financial institution. Payments for work after October 2024 were settled in the same manner as previously described, in accordance with the received claims and assigned receivables.
