Decree on the State Investment Management Strategy Adopted
Decree on the State Investment Management Strategy Adopted
The National Assembly adopted a draft decree on the State Investment Management Strategy at its session yesterday. The draft was submitted to the National Assembly by the Government. As explained by Gordana Pipan, State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, the decree on the state investment management strategy is a fundamental tool for active state ownership, through which the state communicates its objectives in managing state-owned capital investments to the Slovenian State Holding Company, shareholders, the capital market, and the general public. The National Assembly adopted the strategy decree last July, with the 2015 strategy remaining in effect. This is a type of act that is not adopted frequently; however, developments regarding the management of state-owned enterprises for the disabled in particular raised questions, and committees and working bodies of the National Assembly also called for a change to the strategy.
Among other things, the proposal for the new strategy aligns individual investments with laws adopted after the strategy took effect last year; specifically, the strategy adds the investment in the construction of a parallel left-hand railway track for the company 2TDK.
