Track on Lot 2 has been laid!
The final concreting of the track-bearing slab has been successfully completed, meaning that track has now been laid along the entire lower section of the Second Track route.
Lot 2, which includes five tunnels, two viaducts, and part of the open route, is 11,310 metres long. Slab track was installed along most of this section, while conventional ballasted track was laid only from the last tunnel, Škofije (T8), to the end of the line. Electromechanical works will now continue intensively on this section.
Across the entire route from Divača to Koper, 61% of the track has already been completed, with nearly 5 kilometres laid in the Lokev tunnel (T1). In the second tunnel along the route, the Beka tunnel (T2), a load distribution slab is currently being constructed, which is a preparatory phase required before the installation of slab track itself.
