The second track impresses international experts at the ITA Tunnelling Awards conference in Belgrade

The event brings together global experts in tunnel construction and underground spaces, showcasing innovative solutions and awarding achievements in various categories. The conference gathers investors, designers, and contractors from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Singapore, Australia, and other countries, who present the latest advancements in tunnel construction, underground structures, and infrastructure. In addition, the conference also offers a regional insight into projects from Southeast Europe, which are presented within the exhibition part of the event.

The Second Track project has attracted significant attention among international participants. Among experts, there is strong interest particularly in the engineering solutions applied in karst terrain, such as breakthrough works in caves and ground stabilization in the Glinščica Valley. According to various tunnelling specialists, these are highly complex technical solutions, which they believe the company 2TDK could highlight within the profession as examples of an innovative approach combining safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Discussions among participants also show that many are interested in the importance of the Second Track project for Slovenian logistics. The new railway connection will significantly improve the flow of goods and passengers, increase the competitiveness of the Port of Koper, and contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
