A new monograph on the Second Track project has been published
In recent days, a new monograph titled The Second Track Project: The Double-Track Railway Divača–Koper has been published, which—together with the first monograph on the Second Track project—provides a comprehensive overview of one of the most important infrastructure projects in Slovenia.
In both monographs, the authors present the development of the project through text and rich visual material, following its evolution from the initial plans and on-site challenges to construction solutions and its impact on regional development.
While the first monograph focused mainly on the construction aspects of the project, the second is designed in a broader way and, through different perspectives of experts from various fields, presents the achievements of the Second Track project as well as its challenges. The book concludes with a look into the future and a presentation of the parallel left track.
This time, the aim of the book is to place the largest Slovenian infrastructure project in its spatial and temporal context.
The publication of the second monograph represents an important milestone in documenting the Second Track project and provides valuable material for the professional public, students, and all those interested in major infrastructure projects.
