2TDK Presented Innovative Approaches to Transportation Infrastructure Development in Valencia
At the meeting of representatives of the Mediterranean and Atlantic Corridors in Valencia, 2TDK successfully presented the Divača–Koper Second Track project, impressing railway infrastructure experts with its efficient project management, rapid construction progress, and innovative approaches to solving challenges. The project was presented in Spain by 2TDK Director Marko Brezigar and Nina Kolenc, Head of the Finance and Accounting Sector at 2TDK.
The presentation showcased the largest infrastructure project in Slovenia, with special emphasis placed on construction in the Karst underground and the challenges associated with building in such a sensitive environment. The largest Karst caves required bridge structures, some of them spanning more than 40 meters, representing a unique example in railway construction within the Central European region. Conference participants were impressed by the solutions being implemented in Slovenia, as well as by the speed of execution of such a demanding project, which requires the coordination of numerous stakeholders while much of the construction takes place several hundred meters underground.
The event attracted numerous experts in transport infrastructure and climate resilience, who were highly impressed by the presentation of the Second Track project. The 2TDK project was repeatedly highlighted as an example of best practice in transport infrastructure development, particularly due to its innovative approaches and efficient implementation. Following the official part of the event, participants met with the Mediterranean Corridor Coordinator Mathieu Grosch and his deputy, where professional discussions and the exchange of experiences continued.
